KARATE SEMINARS
BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN
PAST AND PRESENT
ABOUT THE SEMINAR
My seminars typically, runs about 3-4 hours, giving us enough time to dive deep into the heart of traditional karate. The focus is on Oyo, which some might know as Bunkai. We break down the moves of Kata and waza, exploring their practical applications, and uncover hidden techniques that are often overlooked — what I like to call "the moves between the moves."
The goal is to provoke thought and look at how the principles can apply in real-world situations today. It’s not about replicating or replacing techniques but understanding their underlying purpose and adaptability. Respect for tradition is vital — it forms the foundation of our karate — but I believe that innovation and deeper insight are key to ensuring that our art remains relevant and alive in the modern world. Simply put, this seminar is about bridging that gap between what has been handed down to us and how we can evolve it without losing its essence.
"With a deep passion for the art of traditional karate, I am dedicated to sharing its profound impact on individuals and society. Join me in a journey to understand the philosophy, discipline, and cultural significance of traditional karate."
